Center for Disease Control (CDC) tells that almost every 8th pool raises concerns of hygiene authorities when they see deplorable conditions on health and safety. 1- Washing Hands: Pool goers need to take a bathroom break and they must wash their hands before jumping again into the pool. This ensures keeping bathroom situation limited to bathrooms only.

2- Taking a shower before jumping into the pool: The most recommended practice by CDC is that every pool goer must thoroughly have a thorough shower. This way all chemicals, cosmetics, sweat, urine etc. are removed and washed away before these are mixed with pool water. Experts tell that these elements, when mixed with pool chemicals make another mix of toxins that are injurious to health.

3- Avoid swallowing pool water: Children must not swallow pool water if that accidently enters their mouth. Pool water has chemicals and that is chlorinated too. These must not enter children digestive system for any reason.

4- Backup plan for children safety: First teach children to have hourly bathroom break else they may reach a situation that “they cannot hold it further”. In case bathroom facility has no soap, keep hand sanitizer in your kit and register a complaint with pool management too. Also bring your water bottle so children keep drinking water and keep themselves hydrated too.

5- When last you tested pool water?: A usual question you may ask the pool management people to ensure that pool chemicals are in balance and fit for humans to be in pools. This is a social responsibility to keep things in a good shape for our own safety.

6- Signs and symptoms: Children may complain of rashes, sore throat, vomiting, sore eyes, difficulty in urinating or headache. These are typical signs of chemical poisoning. Rush them to doctor for immediate care.

7- Beware if children drowning: Studies and reports reveal that children of age group 1-4 have maximum expectancy to meet this awful accident. Next critical age group is years 5-8. So be watchful as children jump into the pool, making sure they are wearing all floaties.
